Level One Half Character Guidelines:
An apprentice character is one that has not reached their full potential as a full first level character.  These rules are good for players that want to make a young and inexperience character or for game masters to make minor NPC's to support characters, without taking away the spotlight from player characters by being too competent.

I call Apprentice characters are sometimes called level 'one half' characters, because many of their class features are halved.

The classes have been designed with an eye to being usable as player characters, though they work well as young NPCs as well.

These are the general rules for generating a level one half character...

Ability Points (Generated as normal)

Hit Points     (Calculate Level One Hit points (including any modifiers), the character gets half this amount, fractions round down as usual)

Saving Throws  (Half Level One Class Save throws)

Spells - Level 1/2 character may cast '0' first level spells.  They may however have access to 1st level spells if they have a positive ability modifier.

Languages ~ If youre human your native language is Human (Euro), if youre not human you must be able to speak it as a bonus language or with Linguistics.

Feat ~ You do not get a level one feat.  You do get one if youre Human.

Traits ~ Player Characters get two, Alt Characters get one, NPCs get none.

Starting gold is 20 gold per d6 for the character class
