One of the first to settle in Freehold, Adrian and his family fled Dambrath in the west to find freedom from the oppressive regime of the Crinti.

Adrian suffered a number of difficulties adjusting to Freehold during its founding, such as his first encounter and subsequent confrontations with Miles Loresong, and his vitreous anti-elf racism has become as much a hallmark of his presence in the village as his impulsive political speeches and his skill as an alchemist and paper-maker, which far surpasses his youthful years.

Somewhat estranged from his father Samuel Fisher, Adrian has made a home for himself in his shop outside the northwestern gate of Freehold's town center and away from his family. A vocal contributor to most Council sessions, his ideas have met with varying degrees of acceptance, often directly correlating to his vehemence and impatience in presenting them, as with his attack on Dardlara Ashhart. Despite his lack of eloquence, though, Adrian is recognized as one of the more intelligent citizens of Freehold, however uncomfortably, and his seeming dedication to shaping a more firmly visible future for Freehold has formed the basis upon which several village policies have been built.

Partially in an attempt to reconcile Adrian's unattractive attitude with his usefulness to Freehold, Lysander Arkaine recruited the precocious youth for the mission to assassinate Kejujuhwa. While he did prove capable in the trials of that grim task, and played a significant role in preserving the lives of the group who faced the Ghauwffhwa leader down, Adrian also proved quite deliberately intractable, immature, and insubordinate, and disappointed the Council upon his return by demanding payment for his services to the village.
