DETECT MAGIC
Divination (Sensory)
Action 2 (Somatic, Verbal)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Duration 10 minutes
Target Self
Check Special attack vs. Fortitude or Will (harmless)
For the duration, the subject can sense the presence of magic in the area such as magic items or ongoing spells. If they're already familiar with a magical effect such as magic items or ongoing spells, they can exclude them from this detection. They perceive any area, creature, or object affected by magic as surrounded by glowing sigils unique to each magical effect, allowing them to attempt to identify magical effects without having to touch items or witness the spell being cast. This doesn't detect illusion magic of a greater tier than this spell's tier nor magic that is affecting something you can't perceive. For example, if a spell was cast on two items and one was hidden from your view, you'd see the sigils on the object you can see but would not detect anything magical on the item hidden from view.
Heightened At tier 1+ the subject gains a bonus to all checks made to identify magic items, spells, and other magical effects equal to this effect's tier.
Tier 2 Effect range increases to medium.
Tier 3 Effect allows you to detect the presence of magic you can't see, though it does not discern its location.
Tier 4 Effect range increases to long.
