The Helm of Psychic Supremacy was a golden-colored version of Magneto's helmet created to house the Mind Stone, one of six Infinity Stones. Donning the Helm, users such as Magneto and his follower Karl Lykos gained vast psionic power, sufficient enough to defeat even the mental abilities of a powerful mutant telepath like Charles Xavier.
History
As part of a deal between Magneto and Thanos, the Mad Titan agreed that when the time came to carry his genocidal plan to fruition, Earth's mutant population would be spared. The only exception to this deal was Wolverine, who ended up perishing in the Snap. In return for gaining temporary use of the stone, Magneto was tasked with defeating Earth's superhuman population. This plan fell apart when the Scarlet Witch turned on her father, defeating him in the Savage Land and saving the lives of many of her fellow X-Men.
- Breakout
Following the events of the Raft prison breakout, Magneto's follower Karl Lykos recovered the Helm from its location underneath Magneto's Citadel. Lykos used the Helm's power to rally an army of mutate followers from across the Savage Lands, with his generals Brainchild and Vertigo at his side. Lykos planned a full-scale invasion of New York City, but soon found himself dealing with the arrival of a new team of Avengers. During the ensuing confrontation, an exhausted Lykos found himself unable to master the Helm's powers, and he was defeated in a fierce battle with the blind vigilante Daredevil. Although Emma Frost desired the Helm for her own ends, the team of heroes decided to leave it in the care of Kitty Pryde, with none of them realizing the artifact contained the Mind Stone.
