Hel Peninsula
Hel Peninsula is a 35-km-long sand bar peninsula in northern Poland separating the Bay of Puck from the open Baltic Sea. It is located in Puck County of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Strewn along the Peninsula are a series of WWII bunkers and long-abandoned artillery and anti-aircraft positions. Included on the Peninsula are a lighthouse with surrounding infrastructural buildings, the small harbor town of Hel, neighboring Hel Naval Base, and acorresponding Military Installation more central on the stretch of peninsula.
