Gawel (who goes by 'Joe'), is a foreman that helps with random construction projects around Gdansk. He accompanied the Mad Dogs on their logging mission to Hel Peninsula, where he helped keep 20 laborers in line and working hard. A valuable asset, it is unknown if Gawel's primary motivator is money.
