Flagship and foremost pride of the Gdansk Fishermans League. Formerly the research vessel RV Oceania, she's a three masted tall ship of mostly steel construction, and nearly 50m in length. Propulsion is typically by sail though her engines remain operational. Primary armament is a deck mounted twin-barreled ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft system. Secondary weapons include an 82mm B-10 recoilless rifle, two NSV heavy machineguns, and an assortment of small arms. The vessel is large enough that she carries two inflatable/motorized launches. Her size and robust design allows her to weather the worst conditions found on the Baltic Sea.
The Ascension is skippered by Aleksander Zawadzki and crewed by no less than twenty men, with space for more as needed. She usually sails as a trading vessel or operates as a "mother ship" for smaller fishing boats. The ship was also used to transport ground troops during the raids on Hel Peninsula and The Twins.
