What follows are a select few of the weapons available to the soldiers of Chicago Company. Specific weapons depend on MOS, Company Stores, and permission from the commanding officers.

A note on Energy Clips and Canisters.

E-Clip come in three varieties; Pistol (Short E-Clip), Rifle (Long E-Clip), and Support (Canister - CE-Clip). An energy clip can be recharged hundreds of times before the storage cell burns out. The CE-Clip is unique to the CS and is only widely used by their forces.

Assuming an E-clip is in a pouch readily accessible, reloading an e-clip takes only 1 action. Retaining the old E-Clip is standard practice (due to how expensive they are). Most soldiers (and those trained in weapons) can easily grab the old e-clip in the same motion they use to put the new one in. Stowing the used e-clip is an extra action (total: 2 actions for a standard reload which saves the clip).

Canister E-Clips are another story. It takes two actions to replace a CE-Clip, and another besides to replace the old canister (total: 3 for a standard reload which saves the clip).

Given how expensive all e-clips are, full combat reloads (where clips are allowed to drop where they may) are frowned upon, and in some commands have been known to result in disciplinary action. This is less common among the front line units (like the Fighting Joes) where results often matter more than what a bean-counter says, but it is still frowned upon and seen as being lazy and wasteful (which has its own set of hazards among the military).
