Mighty No. 9
Mighty No. 9 was that crowdfunded game that tried to out-Mega Man the actual Mega Man. It, sadly, failed. Fortunately, Beck has appeared in crossovers like Mighty Gunvolt since and is able to contribute some significant lore.
Mighty No. 9 in Mighty No. 9
The Mighty Numbers were a series of robots (similar to the Robot Masters in Mega Man) built to handle miscellaneous non-administrative tasks related to maintenance. For this, they needed to be sapient.
I'm not sure on the details, but I know someone who has played it who can explain it better.
Mighty No. 9, known as "Beck", is the equivalent of Mega Man in the setting. Unlike Mega Man, they actually explained how and what he is copying from the defeated Mighty Numbers who have turned evil(?)...
Mighty No. 9 in Glitch Techs x RP
While the plot remains mostly uninvestigated by me, one extremely critical factor can be noted about its' influence on the Glitch Techs x RP. Before there were PLixels, there were Xels.
Pronounced "Cell" (plural: "Cells"), a Xel is a 4D nanomachine, originally derived from DeviceDB:Microbots, which can integrate with larger machines. They had limitations, however, and that is why Hinobi created PLixels.
