Glitch Techs
The primary inspiration of the RP, Glitch Techs is a show with 2 seasons produced and a third stuck in development hell because Netflix bought the rights from Nickelodeon after Season 1 but never renewed it because it wasn't "second screen watchable" enough (you know, that it wasn't a show so braindead that an idiot listening to it on a smartphone while using their computer for something else could follow along).
''Despite'' the vitriol for Netflix, Glitch Techs really ''is'' a good show. It's basically "ReBoot meets Pokémon meets Mighty No. 9 meets Portal meets Warehouse 13" but chock-full of video game references.

Also simply called "Tech Support" by the unaware public, the Glitch Techs are Hinobi's equivalent of the real life "Geek Squad" employed by Best Buy. Think "What if the Kids Next Door were using Niantic and the game Ingress as a front to catch MissingNo. in Pokémon Go" and you start to get an idea of how it stays secret and continues to undertake benevolent works.
At least, we hope it's benevolent. As an actual corporation, Hinobi does have ulterior motives that aren't just "later bedtimes" or even something on the opposite end of the scale of Optimism versus Cynicism like "trap souls in our arcade machines", but rather a simple and flawed profit-based objective akin to making Tech Support itself a microtransaction-laden, FOMO-based grindfest for the same reason game companies do so irl: It makes more money for the company to have their own employees spend their wage back into company goods and services. Anything else, like catching Bolypius, is directly tied to that general purpose.
For better or worse, Hinobi keeps their customers safe but completely oblivious to this fact using System Restores (reversing time to repair damaged structures) and Memory Resets (Men-in-Black style memory wipes) that are built into the Technician's Tech Gauntlets, along with capturing and studying Glitches to prevent their future outbreaks. As a corporate entity in the show, Hinobi has generalized "Big Tech" traits, having traces of everything from Apple to eBay to Valve to Discord. They also have a low-key "bee/hive" theme despite their color scheme being primarily composed of blues and whites.
Glitch Techs in ''Glitch Techs x RP''
Glitch Technicians, or Glitch Techs for short, are the Tech Support operations of the Hinobi Technologies Corporation (a.k.a "HTC", and yes, the reference is intentional). Hinobi in the RP is a fusion of Valve Software, HTC's Vive brand of VR products, Nintendo and Capcom, with other references instead passed off to other corporations.
