Gamedec
GameDec (stylized Gamedec) is a single-player, non-combat, cyberpunk isometric RPG where you play a “game detective” solving crimes that happen inside fully immersive virtual worlds in a 22nd‘century Warsaw. (Source: Wikipedia)
You investigate cases by talking to NPCs, gathering clues, and making deductions on a sort of “logic board,” with your choices permanently shaping your character’s skills, relationships, and how each case resolves. (Source: Steam)
It’s heavily narrative and plays more like an interactive detective novel or tabletop RPG session than an action game: no traditional combat, lots of dialogue and branching decisions, multiple virtual game-worlds to dive into (from faux-farm sims to noir and fantasy realms), and an emphasis on moral ambiguity and player agency. Gamedecs in Gamedec
Actually, this was also apparently based on a Polish science fiction novel series about a Gamedec named Torkil Aymore. Because these novels are untranslated, and I only speak English, I can only verify what the game is like.
A Gamedec is apparently shorthand for "Game Detective". Yes, before there were Glitch Techs, there were Gamedecs; cyberpunk private detectives who solved MMO player's issues with other players.
Gamedecs in Glitch Techs x RP
They remain as-is, but in a different, less-grim world. If Glitch Techs are First Responders, Gamedecs are the Private Detectives; less able to access the typical Tech Support armory, but still able to investigate situations for clients with some degree of legitimacy.
