WHISKERLING
Racial Traits
Size: Small. Whiskerlings typically stand between 3 to 4
feet tall.
Speed: 30 feet. Despite their small size, Whiskerlings are
quick on their feet, a trait that serves them well in both daily
life and in more perilous situations.
Agility: Whiskerlings have a +2 racial bonus to Dexterity.
Their natural agility makes them adept at acrobatics,
stealth, and other dexterity-based skills.
Night Vision: Whiskerlings can see in dim light within 60
feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were
dim light. They can't discern color in darkness, only shades
of gray.
Feline Grace: Whiskerlings have advantage on all
Acrobatics checks and saving throws against being
knocked prone. This reflects their cat-like ability to land on
their feet and maneuver through tight spaces.
Natural Weapons: Whiskerlings have retractable claws
that can be used as natural weapons. When making
unarmed strikes, they can choose to use their claws to deal
slashing damage equal to 1d4 + their Strength modifier.
Languages: Whiskerlings begin play speaking Common
and Felin. Felin is a language filled with purrs, hisses, and other feline sounds, allowing them to communicate subtly
with other felines or those familiar with their language.
Cultural Heritage: Whiskerlings have proficiency in one of
the following skills of their choice: Survival, Stealth, or
Athletics. This reflects their adaptability and the diverse
environments in which they thrive.
Special Abilities:
Cat-like Reflexes: Once per short rest, a Whiskerling can
choose to make a bonus pre-emptive unarmed strike
against any opponent who engages them. This does not
count as an Action or Bonus Action.
Zoomies: Once per long rest, a Whiskerling can use a
bonus action to increase their base movement speed by 10
feet for 3 rounds.
