The Queen Anne home built for the family of Eliza Thompkins in 1896 was bought in 1985 by Jim Echols and his partner, Todd Holbrook. They provide a quaint experience for tourists passing through Hollowbrook, offering historic furnished rooms and a sumptuous complimentary breakfast. Jim is in his late 30’s to early 40’s, a dashing, well traveled, and fastidious man with salt-and-pepper hair who fusses over every last detail. Todd is a handsome and powerfully built man in his late 20’s to early 30’s who handles the landscaping and household repairs. They frequently host weddings, as well as historic lectures and teas for the community in their off season.
They also rent an apartment in their carriage house for year-round tenants.
