Miss Alma Myerson is the Head Librarian and has been since 1968. She’s a patient, helpful, and kind woman who gently “shushes” anyone taking too loudly. She’ll gladly help you find that book you need for your term paper, or help you navigate the microfiche if you need thorough research of old newspaper articles. Locals spend mornings and afternoons poring through the admirable amount of books, with plenty of desks and comfortable chairs for leisurely reading. The Library is astonishingly ahead of the curve in converting the card catalogue to computer files, making searches much easier. There’s a decent selection of albums, cassette tapes, and videos that patrons can check out, too!
