Description : Allison Ruiz is somewhat of a local mystery. At least among the children of Hollowbrook. Six years ago she arrived in town, immediately and opened up a bookstore named Athenaeum, which not only offered a modern selection, but also sold, bought, and traded antique books. In fact, there is a large section in the back that is sectioned off with antique iron siding that locals call "The Cage," which houses very valuable books. And if the rumors whispered among schoolchildren is to be believed, a collection of grimoires and ancient spellbooks for her coven. For Allison is a very much open and practicing Wiccan, despite how few appear to be in Hollowbrook. When she first came to town, a few of the more conservative locals grumbled, and she has gotten caught up in the Satanic panic more than once recently, but that has never deterred the woman. In reality, Allison is actually fighting against the forces of evil, on a daily basis. While Athenaeum is her job, Camryn Rodgers her lover, and the practice of Wicca her faith, she came to Hollowbrook for a reason. To monitor the Hellmouth and protect the local citizens, despite how much they might whisper behind her back, and children may stare and snicker. Her magics might not be the strongest, but she is a solid practitioner, and more than a match for the average monster that comes poking around the area. She can easily be spotted when walking about town, as she has a very distinctive goth-hippie aesthetic. Which only adds fuel to the rumors that kids and close-minded adults spread about her being a dangerous witch. And she is a dangerous witch. Just not for them.
