MAIN GATE RAMP -- Make a thread Post now!
You see before you a well maintained White walled castle nestled high upon ocean cliffs with it's grand keep overlooking the waters. The jagged landscape in front of the castle has been strategically earth worked into fortifications as well as carved into a watery moat which wraps around the castle, filtering into the sea.
From your vantage point on the steps of the entry ramp at the far side of the moat, you can count at least 5 of the 8 towers connected with battlements. The massive gatehouse above you is flanked by 2 more towers. If you are riding a horse, you quickly realize you will have to find the stable in the lower city.
The gates themselves are made of heavy Wrought iron. The only thing that separates you from the gate appears to be a spiked drawbridge which can either look invitingly safe, or imposingly terrifying. It all depending on your point of view. When dropped, the drawbridge rests on the top edge of the stone ramp you are standing on.
