For whatever reason this had been done, war is now brewing. However, despite its inferior numbers and land area, the current Fa emperor - fourth of his line - has not despaired, as he believes the Lin is unprepared for the mercenaries he has hired from across the Fen Guxi (lit. Road of The West), and had overlooked Fa's increasing trade with the land-bridge they border, and thus have de facto control over.
Due to this trade, Fa has become wealthy, enough to enhance its military capacities. Furthermore, they have been blessed in the latest generation with the so-called Divine General Zhao Jiugong, a common-born man with absolute loyalty to the Fa emperor and an incredible mind for war and diplomacy both. He is also a powerful noble, who personally runs the Fortress City of Mazan.
As of 336 DW, as a result of the debacle at the Interstate Council, war has been declared between Lin and Fa. Little information is known, but the Divine General of Fa, Zhao Jiugong, has secretly sent his daughter - and only heir - away to the west. He hopes to protect her from direct combat, believing she is not as absolutely as prepared as she could be.
Also as of 336 DW, the population of Fa is estimated to be 80 000.
Settlements
- Zhulon - The capital city of the State of Fa and home to the fourth Fa Emperor. A large city nestled against Tsanyi (tl. 'Divine Sea'), Zwei Liu Ryang (tl. 'Thunder Sword Emperor') reigns from his throne in the imperial palace. 24 000 people call this place home.
- Mazan - Within the State of Fa, located just by the border with Lin, stands a sturdy walled city. Constructed hastily over two centuries ago, the material of choice within the Fortress City of Mazan are large, uneven blocks of Basalt, each larger than two men. Tremendous cracks run through many sections of the wall, and repairing them is a constant effort. Due to its brutalist appearance, residents of Mazan have long been scoffed at by the beauty-loving Krissh. Even some of those who have lived their lives protecting - and being protected by - these very walls may wish they could at least look a little bit nicer. Around 5000 people live here, and most of them are part of the imperial military.
