The hilly, verdant lands of Magazin make up the largest region around the Worldspine Mountains by far. It is also the only region with large freshwater lakes. Magazin is renowned for its trees, which come in many varieties, and can grow to be incredibly large.
Many of the crops within Magazin are rumored to have mystical properties, as are some of the local fauna.
Magazin is home to several ethnicites, which are divided into numerous groups.
The three major ethnicites of Magazin are the light-skinned dark-haired dark-eyed Meguroh, the olive-skinned light-eyed light-haired Zedeil, and the dark-skinned, dark-haired Ku Liett (who can have any eye color). There are seven major languages spoken across Magazin, and many more less popular ones.
There is no singular culture within Magazin to make comments on. In general, Magazin has little contact with its neighbors.
Despite it's history going back almost a thousand years, Magazin does not have many large settlements. Furthermore, Magazin has barely entered the copper age, the knowledge of metal remain widely unknown.
Overall, the majority of Magazin is not occupied.
Geography of Magazin
A large portion of central Magazin is comprised of the vast and hilly Orzkaram
The region of Magazin borders:
- To the south, the Karam Paam (tl. Central Hold)
- To the southwest, the Sage-Mountains (Laorz), the Fourteen Philosopher Peaks (Lamiorz Lakaez) and the Calamitous Sea (Fyrgbo)
- To the southeast, Dzedje's Reach, known simply as The Reach (lit. The Sky's Edge) (Ma Zirtein) and The Wide Sea (Ma Karpo)
- To the north, The Cold Sea (Ma Pinpo)
- To the northeast, The Sky Sea (Ma Zirbo)
- To the northwest, The West Sea (Ma Gurbo)
The bottom third of the western coast is known as the Rohkutlan Coast
Somewhere in the east lies the Grand City of Ezir, which is both massive and ancient. It is thought to be the birthplace of Eziric Numerals (Ma, Am, Fyrg, Kaez, Pi, Aana, Dzod, Sdir, Ut, Gom, Eum, La), which inspired the base-12 counting system used widely in Magazin as well as the mystical understanding of numerology.
Somewhere in the east lies the Grand City of Arad, which is both massive and ancient. It is thought to be the birthplace of language, though original Aradic script has been long forgotten, mostly existing in ancient fragments. The modern Aradic languages, especially Aradar, are some of the most widely spoken in Magazin.
