A web spell creates a many-layered mass of strong, sticky strands similar to spider webs but far larger and tougher. These masses must be anchored to two or more solid and diametrically opposed points-floor and ceiling, opposite walls, etc.-or the web collapses upon itself and disappears.

The web spell covers a maximum area of eight cubic feet per level of the caster. The webs are strongly adhesive and ensnare creatures entering the area or already within it. The web holds creatures fast, allowing no movement

Anyone in the area when the web is cast must roll a saving throw vs. spell. If this is successful, the creature is not stuck in the webs and can move through them at a rate of 10 feet per round. If the saving throw is failed, the creature is stuck fast for the duration of the spell, until freed, or until the webs are destroyed.

The web spell can be burned away with fire, causing 2d4 points of damage to all creatures within the area of effect. All creatures in the web become visible when so stuck, and the spell is useful for trapping invisible creatures.

The material component of this spell is a bit of spider web.
