Very Rare Magic Item — usable by Magic-Users, Elves, Druids, or Clerics of Earth-aligned Immortals.
Contains 18 charges when found.
Recharges 1d6+2 charges per week if placed in natural stone for 24 hours (e.g., deep cave or under-mountain dwarven forge).
Abilities
- Earth Tremor (1 charge)
30’ radius, creatures must Save vs. Spells or fall prone and take 1d6 damage.
Ground becomes difficult terrain for 1 turn.
- Stonewave (3 charges)
A wave of upheaved stone erupts in a 60' cone.
All creatures in the cone must Save vs. Wands or be thrown 10’ backward, take 2d6 damage, and fall prone.
Creatures that succeed take half damage and remain standing.
Light structures, wooden barricades, and loose ground may collapse or be destroyed.
- Earthen Bind (5 charges)
Target a creature within 60’. Roots, rock, and soil surge up to bind them in place.
Save vs. Paralysis or be immobilized for 2d4 rounds.
Creatures larger than ogre size get a +2 bonus to save.
Works only on targets in contact with natural earth/stone.
- Quakeburst (7 charges)
Create a localized quake in a 40’ radius, centered on any point within 100’.
All creatures in the area must Save vs. Spells or fall prone and take 3d6 damage.
Structures in the zone may crack, weaken, or collapse (wooden = 50% chance; stone = 25%).
Magical flying creatures are unaffected unless on the ground.
Limitations
Does not function on worked stone reinforced with magic (e.g., dwarven halls, temples).
Ineffective against flying or incorporeal creatures.
If the wielder uses more than 7 charges in a day, roll a d20. On a 1-3, the wand fractures, becoming inert and unleashing a final Quakeburst centered on the wielder.
