Atop Magnate Hill, sitting next to Shavaros Vade's tower, is a squat, unobtrusive little building.  Inside the shop you will find a very short, very pale gnome with thick goggles and leather apron stirring a glass beaker.  He watches it carefully, holding it up in front of his soot smeared face.  It begins to glow a faint yellow, then it quickly turns to a bright red.  "Hit the deck!" The gnome cries, throwing the beaker into a stone bin beside him and falling flat on the floor.  The explosion shakes the shop and a pillar of smoke raises up as the gnome stands.  "Well," he says, "That wasn't quite right either...but we are close!"

The shop is smoky and a little dirty, but very well organized. Everything has its own labeled area on the shelves, all in order of category and in alphabetical order. Which is a good thing, this doesn't feel like the kind of place you want to just browse.
