Mutant
Due to a combination of genetic splicing, radiation exposure from the Cataclysm, and the alien anomalies, many humans have developed radical mutations. It's not uncommon to see strange traits such as horns, scaly skin, third eyes, and so forth among those now simply called "mutants" among mankind. Most visible mutations are vestigial, but on occasion mutants have debilitating conditions, quirks, and even some superhuman abilities resulting from their mutations. Among the superhuman mutants, many have developed psychic powers which have become high in demand since they were discovered.
MUTATED
You have a strange appearance that's difficult to hide and require special disguises or bulky clothing to do so. You are treated as both Alien and Human for all effects. If affected by something that normally only affects one of these, you take only half the effects (damage, healing, duration, etc.).
MUTANT POWERS
Choose either biotic or magic. You begin with 3 innate abilities of your choice. These abilities must be biotic or magic in nature as determined by your selection.
STARTING GEAR
You begin with 3 item abilities of your choice.
ABILITY SELECTION
You can acquire innate abilities of the type you selected (biotic or magic), including superhuman versions.
Anyone can acquire item and talent abilities assuming they're available for purchase (item) or training (talent) when selected.
