Roll Charsima (Deception) vs. Wisdom (Insight)
Effect You attempt to pass yourself off as someone or something you are not during a social encounter or while being observed by others. Creating or finding a convincing disguise usually takes about 10 minutes if materials are readily available but you may have them available sooner if you create a disguise ahead of time or stumble upon one by happenstance (such as discovering a uniform in a locker room or knocking out a guard and taking their uniform and ID).
Impersonating a specific individual may require a believable mask, makeup, attire, identification, etc. and typically suffers penalties based on the familiarity of others with that individual.
Creatures using the Investigate action to study and scrutinize you make a Wisdom (Insight) check against your Charisma (Deception) DR to see through your ruse.
- Critical Success: The observer believes your disguise.
- Success: The observer believes your disguise but becomes suspicious of you.
- Failure: The observer sees through your disguise.
- Critical Failure: The observer sees through your disguise and recognizes you if possible.
