Petrified

A petrified creature is turned into an object, usually stone. While petrified, they are effectively in a state of suspended animation in which time ceases to flow for them. The target does not age and its bodily functions virtually cease. The object has a hardness equal to triple the tier of the effect that created the petrification and a number of hit points equal to the target's hit points when they were petrified, unless noted otherwise. If a petrified creature is restored to life while the object is damaged, they sustain injuries and wounds as appropriate for the damage done. If the wounds would be fatal, attempts to cure the petrification gain 50% failure chance and kill the target upon curing the petrification as a result of the fatal wound.

A petrified character has been into stone or similar material and is considered unconscious. If broken, the pieces can be rejoined with the body as he returns to flesh, he is unharmed. If the character’s petrified body is incomplete when it returns to flesh, the body is likewise incomplete and there is some amount of permanent hit point loss and/or debilitation.
