Malignant
Malignant effects and damage are not easy to artificially dispel, heal, or remove. Any attempt to artificially dispel, heal, or remove a malignant effect such as through tech or magic requires a level roll DC10 + half the total malignant damage or 20 + double the tier of the effect (whichever is greater). Failing this roll has the same consequences as failing vial Failure Chance and the effect remains. Success means it's dispelled, healed, or removed normally.
Every time a creature takes a rest that would normally heal or recover from malignant damage/effects (such as a short rest to remove nonlethal damage or a long rest to remove lethal damage) they must make a save with the same DC listed above. If they fail, the malignant damage/effect remains. If they succeed, they heal normally for that rest.
