The White Wastes
Above the northlands lay the White Wastes, an expanse of frozen tundra and glaciers so cold, sparse, and constantly bombarded by harsh winds and blizzards that it's considered uninhabitable. Somewhere out among the White Wastes lay the mysterious land of Hyperborea, or perhaps such a place is merely a hopeful rumor for dying travelers to cling to. Occasionally, giants, yetis, and orcs will wander into these lands to seek solitude from the rest of the world, etching out a harsh but peaceful existence.
