Summon Shadow

Illusion, Shadow, Summoning

Activation: 2 actions (Standard)

Target: 1 summoned creature within Close range

Duration: 1 minute

You summon a shadow spirit with a level equal to this power's tier that serves you for the duration before vanishing. It is loyal to you and attacks the nearest enemy unless commanded otherwise. It telepathically understands your intent though you still have to take actions to command it. It has the following statistics:

Size 5 Mindless Amorphous Spirit (Shadow)
Dodge DC13 + (Tier * 1.5)
Parry DC10 + (Tier)
Armor 0; Incorporeal traits
HP: 6 * Tier

Incorporeal: Immune to physical damage, can move through physical objects and creatures as if they were merely difficult terrain and turbulence, half damage from magical attacks, normal damage from force, incorporeal, and ghost touch effects.

Shadow Strike (2 actions, Force, Negative): +6 + (Tier * 1.5) vs. Dodge (1/2 tier, rounded up)d6 negative energy damage and a hit target is afflicted with Shadow Drain.

Shadow Drain (Curse, Negative): DC16 + (1/2 Tier rounded down), Will save 1/round for 1 minute. Critical Failure: Target's shadow is permanently separated from them causing them to be unable to heal naturally and lose 1d6 hit points every day thereafter until cured; Failure: Target's shadow separates from them and they become Sickened 1. If already sickened, their stage gets 1 degree worse; Critical Success: Their shadow re-attaches immediately and this effect ends.

Cure Lore (Discovery, Secret): DC16 + (1/2 Tier rounded down). Critical Success: Discover a cure; Success: Discover a treatment that cuts the progression or damage in half but doesn't cure; Critical Failure: Believe you find a cure but it only makes the progression or damage worse (doubled).

Upgrades: At tier 2 or higher, summon two creatures of 2 levels lower instead of one.
