Reliable (+1): Reduce failure chance by 25% to a minimum of 0%. This upgrade is stackable.

Greater Contingency (+2): You cast Contingency and one other companion power you know simultaneously for a casting time of 10 minutes or the casting time of the companion power, whichever is longer. You must pay any costs associated with the companion power as well as this one.

The companion power to be brought into effect by the contingency must be one that affects the same target person and be of a spell level no higher than one-third your caster level (rounded down, maximum 6th level).

The conditions needed to bring the spell into effect must be clear, although they can be general. In all cases, the contingency immediately brings into effect the companion power, the latter being “cast” instantly when the prescribed circumstances occur. If complicated or convoluted conditions are prescribed, the whole power combination (contingency and the companion effect) may fail when triggered. The companion effect occurs based solely on the stated conditions, regardless of whether you want it to.

Unlike Contingency, you can have multiple Greater Contingency effects at a time, though each one requires invested mana points/daily slots than cannot be regained until the the effect ends.

Contingency (6th): Contingency

Complex Contingency (8th): As Contingency except you can specify two trigger conditions when casting it. When either contingency would trigger, you can spend 10 MP as an immediate action (reaction) to prevent the contingency from triggering, saving the stored effect for later.

Greater Complex Contingency (9th): As Greater Contingency except you can specify two trigger conditions when casting it. When either contingency would trigger, you can spend 10 MP as an immediate action (reaction) to prevent the contingency from triggering, saving the stored effect for later.
