Spells: Shapeshift
Home | Spells | Abjuration | Biomancy | Chronomancy | Conjuration | Divination | Enchantment | Evocation | Illusion | Necromancy | Transmutation | Universal
Disciplines: Biomancy (if target is an organic living creature), Illusion (if target is incorporeal or spirit), Necromancy (if target is undead)
Types: Morph
Cast: full (3 actions)
Range: touch
Target: self
Duration: 1 minute (dismissible)
Selection: Upon acquiring this power, choose one universal monster ability and either one creature type or a second universal monster ability. In place of a universal monster ability, you can also select 4 XP-worth of racial traits or racial feats.
You transform into a new form taking on a creature type from your selection (if any) and any number of universal monster abilities from your selection. This removes all your creature types and existing racial traits, racial feats, and universal monster abilities for the duration.
Additional Selection (+1): Select two other creature types or universal monster abilities you can apply with shapeshift each time you apply this upgrade.
Impersonate (+1): When you shapeshift into a new creature, you can impersonate the identical appearance of a specific individual you've seen before. This functions as a masterwork disguise kit being used to create the disguise but provides an additional bonus equal to the power's tier to the disguise check.
Tell (-1): Despite shapeshifting, you always have a tell that reveals your true nature such as slanted eyes, tail, claw-like fingernails, or fur instead of hair. Before rolling Insight or Perception against your disguise DC, onlookers can roll a Lore check against your true form's DC (either by creature type or personal reputation). If they succeed, they notice the tell and automatically see through your disguise. If they fail, they can roll against your disguise normally.
