Rephaite



Also known as Daughters/Sons of Ham, Emims, or Hivites, the Repha'im (plural) are a mysterious people native to the plane of shadows and associated with a mysterious place of the underworld they call Sheol. They appear like grey-skinned humans adorned with funeral garbs and one or more pieces of jewelry signifying their house or family. Mastering death and shadow magic, they can turn into shadows and move to and from the Shadow realm with ease. Repha'im talk about life and death as if they were merely two different physical places and do not seem to fear death at all. They claim to be healers and kings among mortals. Some even having the title of Malakuma, meaning "recently dead king" or "soon to die king" which seems to be an honor among them.

Death Giants (17 XP): Some Rephaites are large-sized organisms rather than spirits. They lose the Planar Immortality and See In Darkness abilities and Spirit lifeform but become Large-sized Organisms with Darkvision II (Thermovision) but otherwise have the same statistics.

BLINKING SHADOWS (2 XP)
Benefits: You gain Blinking 2 as an innate magical power with the Illusion and Shadow types instead of Conjuration.

COMMUNE WITH DEAD (4 XP)
Benefits: You gain Speak with Dead 3 as an innate magical power and learn the Necrolingua language. As part of casting this power, you perform a rite over the corpse to guide its soul to the afterlife. The corpse is thereafter treated as slain by a death effect of a tier equal to your Speak with Dead tier.

DARKNESS (2 XP)
Benefits: You gain Darkness 2 as an innate magical power.

INVISIBILITY (2 XP)
Benefits: You gain Invisibility 2 as an innate magical power.

SHADOW ARMOR (2 XP)
Benefits: You gain Shadow Armor 2 as an innate magical power.

SHADOW CLONE (4 XP)
Benefits: As an innate magical power, you may create shadow duplicates of yourself, functioning as Summon Monster 2 except the summoned creatures are copies of you and your gear. Each copy has a number of negative levels equal to the total number of copies + the difference between your level and double this ability's tier. Their gear vanishes if removed and any abilities they use that consume daily uses or other resources are expended from your pool as they do not have their own. You gain the memories of all copies when they are destroyed or when the effect ends.

SHADOW DUPLICATES (2 XP)
Benefits: You gain Shadow Mirror 2 as an innate magical power.

SHADOW JUMP (4 XP)
Benefits: You gain Teleportation as an innate tier 4 magical power. It has twice the normal range, and you roll accuracy twice, taking the better result, but may only teleport to or from dim light or darkness. Using this power in brighter light causes it to function as teleporting into a solid object.

SHADOW FORM (4 XP)
Benefits: You gain Shadow Form as an innate tier 4 magical power.

SHADOW SKIFF (4 XP)
Benefits: You gain Shadow Skiff as an innate tier 4 magical power.

SHADOW WALK (4 XP)

Benefits: You may summon shades as an innate tier 4 magical power, functioning as Summon (Selection: Shades) with the Empathic Link upgrade applied.
