Piercing Sight
Innate, Selection, Skill, Trait
Cost 2 XP/tier
Prerequisites Perception, Survival, or Wisdom
Selection Select a type of concealment that can interfere with vision such as Earth (dust, sand), Fire (ash, flame, smoke), Green (flora, plant life, vegetation), Water (fog, mist), etc.
Within 50 feet (or half this against magically conjured material), you treat concealment created by such material as one degree less concealment than it is for the purposes of your own ability to see through it (as if translucent) to a minimum of no concealment: total concealment --> major concealment --> minor concealment --> no concealment. This doesn't negate cover.
Any solid material more than 1 foot thick still cannot be seen through, though opaque liquids and gases can be seen through.
Examples include Greensight, which allows them to see through leaves, vines, greenery, and undergrowth, Mistsight allowing them to see through fog, mist, and murky water as if they were perfectly clear, Smokesight which allows a creature to see through smoke, fire, and ash, and Stormsight allowing a creature to see through fog, rain, and snow.
Tier 2 As tier 1 but 2 degrees less.
Tier 3 As tier 1 but 3 degrees less.
Additional Selection (+1) Make another selection. The benefits of this ability apply to your new selection as well. This upgrade can be taken multiple times, up to as many times as there are selection options.
Deep Gaze (+2 XP) Increased to 100 feet range and can penetrate up to 2 feet of solid matter.
