Selection: Choose one type of object (such as a general shape like a sphere, box, tree, or rock) or one material (such as metal, stone, or wood). If you select a material, this ability gains a type related to it (ex. Earth, Flora, Metal, etc.).
Activation: 1 standard action (Material, Somatic, 50% failure chance)
Target: Self
Duration: 10 minutes (Dismissible)
Rolls: Fortitude negates
The target transforms into the selected object, maintaining their same size category. This allows them to hide in plain sight and grants them the option of using using Disguise instead of Stealth to do so with an innate bonus to their roll either way equal to this ability's tier. While in object form, they can take no actions except purely mental actions (e.g., listening, looking around, dismissing this effect).
For the duration, the target also gains the benefits of Hardness equal to this effect's tier, which stacks with their normal defenses and resistances.
Larger Shapeshifting (+1 tier): Each time you apply this upgrade you can increase the maximum size the target can be polymorphed into by 1 size category.
Smaller Shapeshifting (+1 tier): Each time you apply this upgrade you can increase the minimum size the target can be polymorphed into by 2 size categories to a minimum of Size 1 (Fine).
Sneaky Object Form (Trade-off): Double the innate bonus to hide in plain sight but cut the hardness in half.
Tough Object Form (Trade-off): Half the innate bonus to hide in plain sight but double the hardness.
Versatile Objects (+1 tier): You can make the target appear like any object made of the material you chose.
