You command the creature to follow a course of action.
Failed Save: The target is off-guard 1 against the user and all the user's allies until it fulfills commands given to it, or this effect ends. Upon its next turn, the target must use their first action to fulfill the command given to it by the user to the best of its abilities.
Critically Failed Save: As a failed save but they must use their first two actions upon their next turn to fulfill the command.
If the duration is longer than 1 round, you can change the commands and the target will obey as long as they perceive and understand the user and recognize the user is giving the commands. Commanding the target to do something that is directly violates their motivation or other limitations or intrigues, grants the target an immediate resistance roll to end this effect each round they are attempting to carry out such actions.
Tier 2: The creature must use all their actions to fulfill the command for 1 round on a failure, or 1 minute on a critical failure.
Tier 3: 1 round/2 tiers on a failure or 10 minutes on a critical failure.
Tier 4: 1 round/tier on a failure or 2 hours on a critical failure.
Tier 5: 1 minute/2 tiers on a failure or 24 hours on a critical failure.
Tier 6: 1 minute/tier on a failure or 1 week on a critical failure.
Tier 7: 5 minutes/tier on a failure or 1 month on a critical failure.
Tier 8: 10 minutes/tier on a failure or 1 year on a critical failure.
Tier 9: 1 hour/tier on a failure or 10 years on a critical failure.
Possession (+1): The effect's type must be Illusion and it must be at least tier 2 to apply this upgrade. You become incorporeal and merge inside the subject for the duration. The effect becomes a Sustained effect. If the effect ends, you are shunted out of the subject into the nearest space and cease to be incorporeal as a result of this effect.
Stubborn Effect (+1): This upgrade can only be applied to an effect of tier 2 or greater. Even on a successful resistance roll (saving throw) the target is still affected as if on a failed at half the normal tier (but not critically failed) and has advantage on resistance rolls against the effect after the initial effect is put in place.
