Prerequisites: Constitution



When killed (not petrified), you can make a Constitution (Fortitude) saving throw against the effect DC or DC10 + 1/2 damage taken (whichever is greater). If this save passes, your hit point total raises to 1 or remains where it is if already above this amount and you're staggered 3 (dazed) for 1 round instead of killed. If it fails, you die normally. You can only benefit from this effect a number of times per short rest equal to [Tier]. If you have multiple uses of this effect and fail a saving throw, you can keep rerolling it until you've consumed all your uses.



Tough as Nails (+1): You're only staggered 2 (nauseated) on a successful saving throw for this effect. If you apply this upgrade a scone time, it's reduced to staggered 1.
