Force Barrier
Creation, Evocation, Force
Activation: 2 actions (Standard)
Target: Conjured objects (see text) within Close range
Rolls: Dexterity (Reflex) avoids capture
Duration: 1 minute
You create a barrier of pure force conjuring (Tier2) 5 foot-wide, 5-foot tall, 3-inch thick panels of translucent force, all of which must be connected to each other and fashioned to a solid location without any gaps such as a ceiling, floor, and two walls. Panels can be layered on top of each other, but only if doing so would leave no gaps between the second layer either. Thus, this is useful for plugging doorways, hallways, tunnels, and the like, but not for creating shields in the middle of an open field.
If you attempt to capture a creature or object inside or outside the force barrier, they can make a Dexterity (Reflex) saving throw against the DC of this effect. If they succeed, they can use their next action to move through the barrier as if it were not there so long as they take this action before 1 round has passed.
Each panel has hardness equal to Casting modifier + (Tier * 2).
Floating Force (+1): Your force barrier can have gaps and be shaped freely so long as all panels are connected to at least one other panel and at least one panel is connected to a solid spot such as a ceiling, floor, or wall. Applying this upgrade a second time allows you to create your barrier in mid-air without the need for a solid spot, and even shape it into a cube, sphere, or other shapes.
