Name a type of creature, object, substance, or phenomena you're looking for in the area. You gain an estimate of the quantity and quality of the chosen subject as if you had spent 10 minutes rifling through the area and cataloging and studying everything. You can be specific (e.g. "broken objects made of gold") or general (e.g. "anything made of precious metals or minerals"). The GM has you roll an appropriate skill roll based on topic in question.
- Critical Success You determine the level, market price, quantity, quality, rarity, tier, weight, and general volatility (e.g., nitroglycerin that could explode at any minute or poisonous inhalant) of the subject in question. If the target is a creature, you get a +2 circumstance bonus to your next opposed skill roll against them until the end of your next turn.
- Success As a success but the circumstance bonus is reduced to +1 and you get only general estimate and not exact numbers. The GM rolls 1d4 and 5d10 in secret. If the d4 is even, you're estimate is over and if it is odd, your estimate is under. The 5d10 is the % off the mark that your estimate is.
- Failure As a success but add 50% to how off the mark the estimate is.
