Entangle



Debuff, Innate, Maneuver


Activation: 1-3 actions

Target: 1 creature or object 1 size larger than you or smaller within Reach. If using 2 actions you can affect up to (half your size, rounded down) targets within reach. If using 3 actions, you can affect any number of targets within reach.

Rolls: Brawn (Strength attack) vs. Parry (CMD)



You reach out with an arm, claw, tendril, or other appendage and grapple the targets.

Critical Hit Targets are Slowed 3 as long as you sustain this effect and they remain within the area.

Hit Targets are Slowed 2 as long as you sustain this effect and they remain within the area.

Miss Targets are Slowed 1 for 1 round or until they leave the area, whichever occurs first.




Tier 2 The area you can entangle with 2-3 actions doubles.

Ranged (+1) You can increase the range to Close instead of Reach. You can also change the skill needed from Brawn to a different one such as Nature for a creature that conjures plant vines to entangle foes or Physics for a creature using telekinesis to hold their foes in place.

Severable Entanglements (-1) Any creature can make an attack against you targeting the area of your entanglement. This entangling area is treated as a limb that can be severed as if you had the Severable Limbs flaw (but only for this effect).
