Create Demiplane
Conjuration, Creation, Planar
Activation: 24 hours (75% failure chance); Materials worth Tier2 x 25 gp
Target: 1 portal up to Size 3 + Tier anchored within reach and 1 demiplane and extradimensional demiplane, up to tier2 x 5 feet in total radius attached to it
Duration: Tier2 days
You create a portal on the plane you're on which leads to a demiplane you created as part of this effect.
The demiplane initially consists of a flat, simple environment made of earth, stone, wood, or similar terrain. It is filled with air or water (chosen when created). The borders appear as solid material, mist, or an unreal void. Environmental conditions resemble a temperate spring day, and you determine the plane’s light level (bright, normal, dim, or darkness).
The terrain counts as normal terrain for spells affecting earth, stone, wood, or similar materials. The plane contains no native creatures or plants, though creatures and vegetation brought there function normally (bright or normal light counts as sunlight for plant growth).
Creatures may enter or leave the plane through the portal you created or through normal planar travel means. You are considered very familiar with your entire demiplane.
As a standard action, you may eject a creature from your demiplane (Will negates). The creature appears on the nearest coterminous plane.
If the spell’s duration expires, the demiplane dissolves and all creatures inside are ejected without a saving throw.
The demiplane cannot be dispelled, but a creature within it may destroy it with limited wish, mage’s disjunction, miracle, or wish with a successful dispel check.
You may cast this spell within your demiplane to expand its size or refresh the duration. If portions expire while others remain, creatures in the collapsing area are shunted to a remaining section.
Planar Customization (+1): When you create a demiplane with this effect or cast it on an existing demiplane you created, you may permanently add or remove one feature below instead of expanding it:
- Alignment: The plane gains a mild alignment trait matching one of your alignments.
- Bountiful: The plane develops a self-sustaining ecosystem capable of producing plant food for one Medium creature per cube.
- Elemental: The plane gains an air, earth, fire, or water dominant trait.
- Gravity: Gravity may become heavy, light, none, objectively directional, or subjectively directional.
- Seasonal: The plane gains a customizable seasonal and day/night cycle.
- Shaped: The plane may loop or wrap, causing creatures reaching an edge to reappear elsewhere.
- Structure: The plane gains a thematic large-scale structure such as a labyrinth, floating citadel, world-tree, or similar feature.
If you apply this upgrade a second time, add the following to the list of planar features you can add/remove:
- Energy: The plane gains minor positive-dominant or negative-dominant energy.
- Magic: The plane gains dead magic, enhanced magic, impeded magic, or wild magic. If enhanced or impeded, choose a specific type of magic affected.
- Morphic: You may reshape terrain within your demiplane at will as if using move earth at one-tenth the normal casting time. Plants reshape similarly, and stone at half casting time.
- Portals: The plane gains additional permanent two-way planar gates in locations with which you are very familiar, up to a number of gates equal to the total tier of this effect.
- Time: The plane gains erratic time, flowing time (half or double speed), or timeless.
