Confused
A confused creature cannot...
- communicate in any way
- use concetration or verbal components
- use or be affected by linguistic actions
- willingly accept or give aid
When they attempt to communicate in any way, they express only gibberish and likewise only percieve gibberish when observing others communicate. They are treated as unwilling for any other attempt to help them including the Assist action, buff, defense, and healing actions, harmless effects, etc.
Stage 2: As Stage 1 except the Confused creature is also
Compelled 2 to take a random course of action every interval from the table below. If they are attacked, they are
Compelled 2 to attack the last target that attacked them instead of taking the random action.
Stage 3: As Stage 2 except it's
Compelled 3.
Stage 4: As Stage 2 except it's
Compelled 4.
| d6 | Action |

| 1-2 | Attack the nearest perceived creature. If unable, take other actions to become able to do so such as drawing a weapon, moving towards a target, or searching for them. If no other creatures are perceived, they attack themselves using normal attack and defense as an unwilling target. |
| 3-4 | Move in a random direction (1d8 for horizontal movement, 1d8 for vertical if burrowing, gliding, flying, or swimming). |
| 5-6 | Babble incoherently. |
