CLONE

Disciplines: Biomancy
Types: Creation, Exclusive, Secret
Cast: 24 hours; Tier2 x 200 gp in material components
Range: touch
Target: 1 targeted creature and created clone and pod
Duration: Permanent
Roll: Medicine vs. DC10 + double tier

Critical Success: As a success but instantly instead of 1d4+1 rounds and all disease, poisons, polymorph, and other status effects they were under at the time of sampling are not applied to the clone.

Success: You create a pod or other container housing a clone of a target creature. You must obtain an uncontaminated biological sample from the target creature, dealing 1 point of bleed damage to them in the process of this ritual. Should the target creature die, their soul is transported into the clone (unless otherwise claimed or detained) and they awaken in the pod within 1d4+1 rounds as if they had been ressurected with the Resurrection spell with the same tier as this spell's tier. You can create multiple clones at a time, but only one can house a soul at a time while the others remain blanks. If the creature was diseased, poisoned, polymorphed, or suffering from any status effect that requires a Fortitude save to resist, those effects are also applied upon the clone when it awakens at the same potency, tier, stage, etc. they were at the time the sample was taken.

The pod has a Hardness equal to 5 + tier and Hit Points equal to 50 + (tier x 10). A clone and its pod are considered one object until a soul enters it, at which point they separate and the pod becomes useless material and the clone a living body. If the pod is destroyed or clone removed before this time, the clone is also destroyed.

Failure: You create a defective clone that fails to activate when it's supposed to.

Critical Failure: You create a defective clone. When activated, a hostile soul enters it instead of the chosen creature while the chosen creature's soul moves on as it normally would.

Note: A Medicine analysis of the clone pod DC20 + quadruple tier reveals whether it is a critical success, success, failure, or critical failure.
