Ye Olde Clothier

Though the group was earning some currency and they were helping children, Taya was tired of the task. Roaming the city. Having to say no to purchasing goods from kind and charitable people. Not eating. The stinky dwarf that seemed to think bathing was something horrible. She was ready to call it a day.

Arriving at a shop named, Ye Olde Clothier on Inigo Street, Taya went inside without waiting to see whose turn it was.

The wood building was two stories, with the bottom floor being the work area and the second floor the living quarters. A man and woman were both at tables, working on some sort of garments. Taya could hear the thumping of feet on the ceiling, which she took to be children playing.

"Good day," said the man. "I'm Harold and this is my wife, Bekka. How can we help you today?"

"I'm from the Nightwatch Guild and I'm here for anything you might have for the children on Prelor's Day." Taya said it a bit more grouchy than she intended.

"I see." Harold looked at his wife. She set her material on the table, excused herself, and took the steps to the top floor. "Are you okay, miss?"

"I'm sorry if I was rude," said Taya. "It's been a long day."

"I understand," said Harold. "The pace here can be overwhelming if you're not accustomed to it."

Taya appreciated the sentiments. Hearing someone coming down the steps, Taya saw Bekka returning.

"Here you go."

Bekka gave Taya a puzzle. It was in a wood frame, consisted of fifteen pieces, and was a picture of a beautiful forest.

"I hope this is enough. I'm sure you've seen better gifts today," said Bekka.

"This is good," said Taya. "Everything has been good. The kindness and generosity is what matters."

Bekka smiled.

Taya said her thanks and headed back outside.
