The Steel Raven

The Steel Raven so named either because of the large post with a steel raven statue at the top that stood outside it's front doors or perhaps something from the owners own history. When asked though it was stated that the Steel Raven used to be a pet of a previous owner and was cast when it passed away. Since then this tavern has been owned by a member of his family. It is a simple Tavern, a few tables and chairs about the room, a long bar across the back with an old dark haired man working the bar. A couple of young similarly dark haired girls work the floor delivering drinks to the day workers. At night the crowd changes, the local change from the merchants who frequent it during the day to the ruffians who run the streets at night. A frequent visitation from the guard happens due to brawls that happen on the regular.

Korkas mood seems to improve and an almost smile crosses his face as the party approaches what was obviously a tavern "Goods and a drink. This job ain't so bad after all. Company could use some improvement but you do what ya have to do to make the coin." Korkas stomps across the tavern floor to the barkeep "Pint of Ale and We got this writ for some toys for children by the Nightwatch. Pint first." Korkas looks over his shoulder at Treakle "Make that two."

The barkeep scowled a bit at the dwarves' quick request before even being greeted and he worked for the Nightwatch apparently. Muttering he put down two pints of ales and slid them towards Korkas "That'll be 3 silver." overcharging the dwarf for his rudeness. "And I'll get the gifts in a moment. Have others to help." With that he turns and moves towards the other end of the bar and whispers something to a large fellow sitting at the end and then pours him a pint of ale, taking a single silver coin in compensation. After helping another half-dozen orders he disappears into the backroom before return with a crate full of hobby horses and small fake wooden lances "Here you go."



River Quarter
