Orleck's Chirurgery & Clinic

Orleck's is a rather large building on the edge of the poorer part of Narwell. Those whose earnings do not amount to enough for Clerical intervention come here for medical treatment at a discounted rate. Those who have the wealth that leads to excesses come here because Orleck's treatments work without informing the Priests why one needed treating, at a significant price for the discretion.

The main entrance opens into a medium sized office. A young human or half-orc, depending on the day, is at a desk making notes about incoming patients. The benches along the wall always have people sitting on them...children of every race in Narwell end up here frequently and caregivers know to come here looking for them when they are late elsewhere.

The "Noble's Entrance" (officially the side door), opens into a short alcove with another door at the end. This door opens into another office, smaller than the main office and with chairs instead of benches. the assistant who is not working the main office will be here, transcribing whatever Orleck has assigned them while they wait for paitents.

Orleck's work area is a large room with many cabinets and cupboards around the walls. There is a short, extremely sturdy looking table and a few chairs. He has arranged mirrors and lanterns from the ceiling. In many places, there are blood stains that are obviously never going to go away, no matter how thouroughly cleaned.

Orleck, the Chirurgeon, is a tall high-elf at 5'6". The backs of his hands show many small scars.

Wandering around, Reahlyn is amazed by the life she sees. Children are running errands/deliveries, ignored by the adults going about their own business. Continuing along, she sees a human teen sitting against a building with his foot on backwards.

"Oh my! Let's get you to a temple!" she says.

"No temple; Orleck's nearby," he responds.

With her assistance and his directions, Reahlyn gets the lad to the clinic. Walking him in, she hears, "Orleck? Brinnon's broken his foot again!" but she's too concerned with her charge to notice who said it.

She gets the boy seated on a bench when an elf comes out of a back room. "Brinnon? You're not supposed to be on that foot yet! I told you it would be a month before you could use it. Thank you for helping him, ma'am." The last surprised Reahlyn as this was the first time anyone had been certain of her gender, and correct, in a long time.

"Glad to be of service. If there's nothing else..."
