Luciano Leatherworker
Dimitri realized he was going to need a bandolier with a number of pouches sewed into them as well as finding a leatherworker who worked in exotic materials to find out the worth of the giant constrictor snakeskin he'd harvested. He was unsure how much it might be worth, if anything, and what sort of clothing it could be made into from cloaks or long coats to vests, belts or other things as sturdy as actual armour that he had some ideas for...not that he'd be able to wear it and cast any of his spells of course.
Dimitri was disappointed to find that his snakeskin is not worth much after spending a week rolled up in his backpack. One of the leather worker's he showed the skin to advised him to have skins treated by experienced tanner or leather worker within a day or two of being skinned from an animal to help preserve the skin. Unfortunately the moldy roll of skin is not much use for anything now. The same leather worker is able to make a custom bandolier for Dimitri however.
"How many pouches do you want and what size? Do you want them just on the front or some on the back as well?" The craftsman asks.
"I was thinking mainly on the front you see but a few to the rear..." remarked Dimitri as he laid out what he was looking for from Luciano, whom he'd found in Clerkburg...a location he'd gone to because of its proximity to the Guild of Wizardry and the likelihood of other mages looking to commission similar pieces. He had heard about it when he had first stopped by the Black Dragon Inn to have a meal and listen in on the various conversations that were being had. The two students had remarked about the quality work and fair price that they charged despite the skill. It seemed that while he could charge more he used initial purchases to loop them into his business banking on the fact that mages always needed more space for their tools and would have a never-ending list of specialist things needed that he could provide...for that significantly higher price down the line when combined with his skill.
"I could put four small pouches on the front and two large on the back or another 4 small, whatever you prefer." The leather worker explained to Dimitri. "But whatever is on the back will not be easily accessible." He thinks about the time, materials and quality of the work. "Six gold pieces should cover it. I will make the pouches detachable, attached with buckles so if you want more pouches you can store them in your pack and replace as needed, just let me know how many you want."
