Greyhawk Express

As the group nears the next building on Water Street, in the middle of the afternoon, they see a few horses and wagons in a fenced area.  On the way in, a horse comes in very fast with a package tied to the rear of the saddle. As they approach the door, they see a sign, Greyhawk Express.  Suddenly, the rider they saw coming in is running out with another package to his horse, and he gallops off towards The Strip and off to the south.

"They do come and go fast, eh?"  He opens the swinging door and finds a place that is abuzz with people.  There is a line of folks with packages, and it seems like it would take a while, if he wanted to be polite and wait, but they were not done for the day and time wasted here would have them finishing after the day did.

Seeing there were a couple folks working at the counter, Treakle walked up and announced, "Good afternoon!", but was immediately ignored.  He didn't much appreciate that, nor the looks he was given by the people in line.  Ignoring all of that, he said, "We are here from the Nightwatchman Guild, collecting for Pelor's Day.  Being he ensured it was loud enough to be heard outside, he got the attention of a greying halfling who came in from a door in the back.

The halfling came over to him and said, "How can I help you, young Dwarf?"

Lysander showed him the letter and said, "Hi, I am Lysander.  We are here to pick up the promised gifts for the Pelor's day celebration."

The halfling replied, "Hennepin here, we are busy this time of year, but we do like to share with the children.  Let me get your package."  He went back out the door.

He returned shortly with a wrapped package and handed it to Lysander.  "Tell the Sergeant I said hi.  I am sure the kids will love these hard candies.  Now, off with you, I need to get back to work."

Treakle almost ran into another delivery rider coming in as he left.
