Ea-Doragh Mahdra
 * Mother of Monsters

I, Penumbrus, record faithfully such events and facts of Ea-Doragh Mahdra as I observe.

In the early days of the Mother she created her children.  I would be hard pressed to tell if there was a time when Mother did not create.  The archives of my master are filled with even the minor creations of Mother.  Still holding a strong place in her heart is her first creation the Mother of Dragons.  Rather than recreate the litany of named and nameless creations that have either succeeded or failed by attrition in the world, I should point to more recent creations.

It's been observed a youth in the far south of the world that was not born of woman but is yet raised by one.  Mother has assigned the monstrous squirrels of the region to keep watch over the young one as well.  With whispered tones for more than one reason, Mother fought to protect the youth in a materialized form.  She clawed viciously against the attacker and his body is not found.

As a note, for those who happen upon this later.  I mentioned her first creation, Shayrsynth.  While the first dragon has long since departed, it some point the remains of the firstborn were used for their inherently magical properties.  One such part of her remains, a relic in the southern badlands, is guarded by another group of her children, the Gargoyles.  The relic has come to the attention of humans and to further guard against the desecration of the current resting place, she has blessed the gargoyle tribe that lives there and I shudder at their new and deadlier form.  To perform this blessing she even appeared in mortal form, though the thin disguise was just enough to cover her most deific aspects.

Interest in the past species of the Pangolin has prompted the Mother to aid them in repopulating themselves.  The Gem of Motherhood is a rare non-living creation crafted by her will.
