The Metropolitan Hotel

The other major hotel in town is the Metro, a two-story wooden building painted slate gray.  The first floor has a lobby, dining room, kitchen, a stone fireplace and chimney and quarters for the female staff.
The second floor holds nine vacant rooms, plus quarters for Col. Hill and Doc Klaber.  Another room, reached both by the hall and the outside stairs, has been remodelled as Klaber's office.
The Metropolitan is considered the best hotel in town.
