RAMOS BOARDING HOUSE
The Ramos Boarding House lies on the southeastern outskirts of town. It is a weatherbeaten, sprawling wooden building that has obviously been added onto multiple times in its history. There is a south facing, shaded porch with a mismatched set of chairs and stools for the guests. Widow Ramos runs the establishment with a sharp tongue and a long handled spoon taking no guff from cowboy or traveling salesman. Señora Ramos is helped with cleaning and general maintenance by a one eyed Indian by the name of Running Wolf. His tribe is uncertain as the says very little. Running Wolf keeps a sawed-off shotgun in the kitchen and a set of crossed tomahawks over the fireplace. Overall establishment is clean and well cared for if a bit old.
The main part of the building is occupied by the kitchen/pantry and a large table where Señora Ramos offers breakfast, lunch and supper as well as her famous Menudo on Sundays. One bedroom is occupied by the widow and running wolf. The other bedroom as two single beds while the last offers three bunkbeds. Señora Ramos also offers those with less money or who are more frugal the chance to sleep on the floor in their bedrolls.
A crowd usually gathers on Sunday to partake in Señora Ramos' tasty Menudo.
