Almedas Saloon

The Almeda Saloon catered more to the locals in town and the area farmers and ranchers than the El Sol kitty corner across the street. The hotel drew the travelers and Wells Fargo passengers. This suited Hector Almedas the owner and his wife Lourdes just fine as they preferred the steady clientele even if things were a little slower than across the street. There are usually a half dozen regulars in the afternoon and evening with an even mix of gringos and Hispanics with the occasional Indian traveling through but not welcome elsewhere. Hector has a shotgun under the bar but is well respected enough to be able to keep the peace without call for weapons. Everyone is welcomed by Hector and with his connections he can be a good source of information.
