BAINES BUTCHER SHOP AND GROCERY

Rudy Baines, his wife, Louisa, and their children, Richie, Carole and Julia, live on the second floor of this two-story brick building. The first floor contains Baines' store. Baines specializes in smoked meats.

Sample prices include:
bacon = 9 cents a pound
ham = 12 cents a pound
corned beef= 15 cents a pound
smoked, dried beef= 15 cents a pound

All of the Baines family work in the store or in the smokehouse. Richie and Carole attend school and Mrs. Baines and Julia tends Laverne, Rudy's aged grandmother who lives at 171.
